YiXing Teapots Carved or Incised

The largest of the Dragon Heads is pictured in the large photo.
The artist is Da Zhou. The teapot is approximately 7 1/2 inches long by 4 1/2 inches high. It holds just under 16 ounces of liquid when filled to the top.

A very different teapot in that there is an inner teapot and an outter shell that has been carved and incised to make a more intricate design featuring cranes.

Three buffalo are on each side of this piece.
Wonderful contrast between the yellowish clay and black detail.

An artist that I imagine has amazing patience has carved this exceptional piece. One hundred disciples of Buddha are each carved on this teapot. Enjoy the large photo and a closer view of this piece.
